-how expensive are replacement parts ?
-how does the price of replacement parts compare to the ka engine replacement parts ?
-are replacement parts hard to get ?
-what is the average gas millage ?
-how does gas millage compare to the ka engine ?

sorry for all the questions i am just trying to figure out if i should continue moding my ka i have a sohc or save the money and buy a sr. but i will not be working much after i finish my car because i want to go to collage so i need a engine reliable decent on gas and not impossible to find parts.

ok bro, i think that josh cleared it up for you, check out thse links and all your questions should be answered when it comes to parts and such.  try jspec too for parts
parts for the sr are always going to be fairley higher b/c of the short supply

and about the mpg, i could get 10mpg and still be happy im driving my sr, it all depends upon the mods, boost and other factors in the car for mpg ne ways

1. Like Beissen said they are used. &nbsp;If you go through a reputable dealer then you have a better chance of getting quality product

2. Some Parts are interchangeable w/ the SR20DE but most are sourceable and you should have no prob getting them

4. Comparable to the KA but depends on how much you keep her in the boost (more time on boost=crap gas mileage)

But what I will tell you is if you are worried about small things like that then maybe you should consider just modding the KA. &nbsp;Any major mod,such as an engine swap is going to cost you some money. &nbsp;Either now or later you will spend the dough...you can count on that
