Need some advice. I have some body parts lying around and was wondering if it would be wise for me to mount them up on my car to see how they fit prior to the paint job? Or should I simply give them to the body shop for them to deal with it? My concerns are if I just give them to the body shop, they might lose a piece or two? Sounds stupid, I know, but hey, shit happens, and a rear valence add-on, i dont want them to lose that crap. On the other hand, if i go the other route, you think the body shop would be stupid enough not to spray the pieces separately? I'm not a bodyshop kind of guy. So what do you think? Opinions please. Thanks!

test fit, cut drill and everything before paint.

Either you do the prep work yourself or be there when they do it. Because it is your car and your opinion. If your not there when they do it, it probably won't be done to your satisfaction.

Depends of what kind or how much you're paying for the paint job you're getting. If you're paying good coin for the job more than likely they will spray the parts seperately. I'd just kindly remind them. But if you're paying $200-300 for the paint job...pray for minimal overspray on your rims, exhaust, interior, lights, etc...you get what you pay for.

i'd honestly test fit everything first. if everythings okay, unmount and send it to paint. if your able to disassemble it, you should be able to put it together again. it'll def. save you a good amount of coinage in the long run...
