I have my defi gauges wired up, they are getting power, ground, and the senders are in correctly. My only problem is the illumination. They only illuminate when the parking lights are on. Where is a good source to tap into so they light up full brighness during the day, and automatically dim at night?

When hooked up to the dimmer wire they turn on ONLY with the lights on.
When hooked up to the illumination wire they turn on full brightness ONLY with the headlights on.

Wire the lights to a constant 12v.

I ran mine off of the accessory wire I believe.
I made myself a small 12v distro block out of parts from Radio Shack so that I would only have to connect one wire from the source to the block and then screw in each accessory I want into the distro block. Just a suggestion if you have quite a few to hook up, not sure how the defi unit works with power to each gauge since they're all tandem.
