I bought a downpipe from SSAC for my ca18det, I have the stock t25 turbo on it with the stock dump pipe, the downpipe doesn't bolt up to the dump pipe, so my question is do I need to buy a dump pipe from SSAC to match, in order for it to bolt up to the stock ca18det t25? I know the stock turbo is a joke but I'm a student now and I'm broke so the cheaper the better... plus the turbo is like new imo

The ssac dp is actually for an SR.

You can get ANY SR Exit elbo (including stock) and bolt it on.

Or, you can take the DP to a muffler shop and have the flange cut and clocked. While you are at it, you can also modify the downpipe to not hang under the frame rail.

They do make a dp for ca's. I have one. John's right you bought (or they sent you the wrong one) a dp for an sr. Just get a stock sr outlet doesn't matter from what engine. Or buy an aftermarket sr outlet.

I assumed they were all SR, because i have ordered 3 of the ca downpipes and ALL were clocked for SR.

I mean, F, its SSAC, Did you expect any better?

Yeah, I have a CA downpipe from them too. The flanges and bends line up exactly with the OEM pipe I got from Jhot with my swap:

Their dump pipe matches the OEM one exactly as well.

As said, any SR dump pipe will work w/ the SR down pipe but apparently (secondhand information here) using the SR parts means the hanger on the transmission mount doesn't line up and the DP will hit the frame rail. I'd try to get a CA elbow from SSAC (here (http://app.infopia.com/Shop/Control/Product/fp/vpid/2764512/vpcsid/0/SFV/31982)) and get the down pipe you have chopped and rewelded to match.

That DP is different from anything they have sent me... weird..Haha. Guess they finally got off their lazy asses and made a real CA one. How long ago did you order yours? They seem to "fix" problems with their products as time goes on--mine was ordered around February of this year IIRC.

Yea I hear ya John, yet another reason we get what we pay for. Its cheap so it like whatever. But it'd still be nice to recieve what you ordered and not something else. I have other friends who've ordered Ca parts and got sr parts as well. I ordered a ca outlet and got an sr outlet (mind you, they sent me a ca dp). After goin through the hell of taking the stock outlet off while on the car, I had to put it back on because the damn ssautocrap one was the wrong piece.

bought my pieces early 2005
