Anyone know where I can get a kit for the front and rear 350z rotors to fit on a S13? I know SPL stopped selling them so I have no clue where to get the kits from.

I've seen the front kit on Ebay a few times. Rear, not sure.

I've only seen the kit for the 300zx which I heard is different from the 240sx kit. I might have to go with another brake setup if I can find a kit for it.

there has never been a 350z rear rotor kit to my knowledge
the caliper isn't a bolt on anyways

How do you figure? If 300ZX brakes bolt directly on to a 240SX (they do, we all know this), then any kit designed for the 300ZX will work on a 240SX. That's just common sense.

i believe the ebay auction is where it said it would work on 300zx but not s-chassis, i forgot the reason it mentioned
hey, anyone confirm SPL is no longer selling their kit?

Hmm, I see a rotor upgrade for 350Z, not a brake swap kit for S-Chassis.
That is the topic of this thread. 350Z front and rear brakes on an S-Chassis. Not rotor upgrades for the Z-Chassis.

no this is for an S-chassis....check the main page were the brakets are pictured.

maybe this will help...
fron SPL's site
"We offer this kit with a 350Z PowerSlot 1-piece slotted plated 12.8" rotor (vs. 10.8" stock Z32 rotors) with our custom CNC machined billet T2024-T3 (Super Duralumin) aircraft aluminum adapter/bracket. Other kits on the market use steel brackets that are much heavier and increase unsprung weight."

"Pair of Front or Rear 2-piece 330mm rotor (with bracket) for stock caliper." GTFactory.jp. then some one posted that they were 2 piece STYLE. Are they 1 or 2 pieces?

Pair of Front or Rear 2-piece 330mm rotor (with bracket) for stock caliper. With a larger rotor, you increase the effective area of the brakes for better braking performance. Slotted to increase pad fricton, reduce brake fade and achieve maximum braking performance. Slots constantly de-glaze the brake pads, maximizing braking performance and reducing rotor scoring............
That is on their main page
anyone know the size of the 300zx and 350z rear rotars?

why would you want to go with the 350 brakes anyway... the 300zx might be a little hearder to find but are a lot easier to install and also offer better stopping power...
just wonderin...

those sure look 2 piece to me....question is: are they dog drive? If not maybe we can buy just the brackets!
Maybe someone will finally sell brackets for a reasonalbe price....$200 is just STUIPD expensive..I think I could goto a local machine shop and have a pair made for about that price. (please dont give me the r&d costs money garbage, if SPL could make theirs out of 2024 aluminum then just about anything will work.

Im pretty sure on one car the caliper bolts to the inside of the caliper bracket, and the other it bolts to the outside of the caliper bracket. I remember when I looked into doing the rotor upgrade, there was a difference and they wouldn't work on 300ZXs. The reason I can't do it is I already have a mm clearance between my caliper and wheel spokes and the brackets will spacer the caliper out further.

2024 T-6 aluminum is harder to get a hold of and costs alot more than 6061 aluminum or steel. 2024 is also quite a bit stronger than 6061 aluminum. I think you perhaps misjudged the cost/strength of 2024 aluminum...

sorry you're right 2024 owns 6061...wasnt thinking. 2024 is like so much stronger :) and like 3x more cost than 6061....
Guess it pays to know machinists way more than i thought :)
thanks for the heads up

Well I finally found someone who is selling the 350z rotor brackets.
http://www.autobrakeworks.com/240sxbrakeadapter.htm
He is currently only selling the front brackets but he is working on making the rear brackets to work with the front 30mm 300zx calipers.

fyi you might not want to use the grade 8 hardware that he gives you. Grade 8 gets soft with heat, and can work itself loose. Im not sure how hot a caliper mounting bolt will get, but 2 piece rotor bolts definately can and will come loose.

dang never thought about that. I guess I'll wait to get the brackets then or maybe get custom ones made somewhere else.

I will be happy to supply grade 12 bolts. I have been supplying brake products for 6 years and have had great success with the products and hardware provided.
If anyone received grade 8.8 bolts I will supply the higher grade for an additional cost. They are much more expensive and I will cover the shipping within the USA. Can't get any better than that. And I will beat anyone's price on similar products.
I wish Audi and Porches didn't use a 2 piece rotor. Such a reputable company choosing that design on their Audi RS4. hehe making that statement is like saying the engine should all be one piece and not held together with hardware. The engine will come lose. What about the rest of the vehicle chassis?
