Need better pictures. I'm not a fan of purple, but I'd be interested in seeing better shots of the work.

Wrinkles give it a character I despise.
Better luck next...

I have a great idea for my headliner, but man it is NOT classy at all.

Why's everyone hating?
I plan on recovering my headliner in pink faux fur.

Damn, I always thought maybe if I'm baller enough I'll paint my car some nice flaky purple or something, but I never thought of color matching the interior :keke:...

Anyways, I like it, a write-up would be nice :bigok:

i have my old headliner laying around. I may do a DIY later this week on it. Its not too hard at all. It just depends on the fabric you use and how much glue you spray at once. Also the amount of flash time you give it will make the difference. For an adhesive, if your ballin like me you use an air gun to spray the glue. If your not so ballin you can get away with the 3M can spray. I think i should do a write up later when i got some time.

yea, sorry i didnt think about takin pics till i was done. i just used a 3M spray can and a snow scraper to smooth it out. I used purple corduroy i got from a fabric store 1 1/2 yards was plenty maybe the glove box will get some love too.

BTW the glove box is going in purple and possibly a shift boot ( that might be too much purp) the car already has a ACC black molded carpet and all the tweed nonsense on the doors and such are gone. Just a stock pass seat (painted black) and a Sparco REV (which is for sale (http://www.zilvia.net/f/showthread.php?t=145512)). I think the interior will have a nice look to it when Im done..oh yea and the cage is going in gold when i stop being lazy, ill start a new thread for the build up w tons of pics!

thanks for looking!

Somebody do a write up on redo-ing door panels because I hate the tweed shit in my S13. Anything would be better.

Very nice. The color is pretty cool.

A detailed right up would be appreciated. I tried redoing my door panels in fabric and it wasn't working out well because of the curves.

Any special techniques you can pass on?

I have an extra headliner just sitting around I can redo. That would be sweet.

hmm, take your time and in tight corners cut out small angles so it wont wrinkle.

when i do my glove box today ill take pics and show you what im talking about.

The only thing I did to put fabric on the door panels was cut a piece of fabric slightly bigger than the fabric surface on the door panel and stuffed the edges of the fabric in the door panel. I did not use glue and I left the other fabric on the door panel. Ive had the door panels like this for about a year and the fabric has not come out and is not wrinkled. Hope this helps.
