Does the s14 intake manifold flows better than the s13 ?

Would I gain anything or have better airflow ? or am I just wasting my time and should go with the greddy ?

Wait are you asking if a S14 SR stock intake manifold will fit onto a S13 SR? If so then nope if don't fit.

the intake manifolds are completely different. the s14 head has vtc, making it much different...

I think he is mainly asking about whether low port intake manifold is better than a high port manifold.

for that search the sr20forum... sentra guys have been arguing this for a LONG time

Going with an aftermarket intake such as the Greddy, Ku Engineering, maxworks, Jun, etc, is a waste of money unless you've upgraded your turbo. The short runners on all of the above mentioned ^ really shift the powerband to the upper rpm side (very noticable loss or torque in lower rpms....my .02 when i installed my greddy IM with a modded T25) and require a good bit of air flow from the turbo in the upper rpms to make power...pre-IM iwas was running 14-15psi as my high boost, post-im install i had to bump it to 18psi just to get it puling like my old set-up. the larger plenum really needs a larger turbo, and thats what i find myself in the middle of now...A gt3076r .82 a/r turbo should be arriving from Full-Race on tuesday, and should more than take care of my increased air flow needs!

bottom line: If you dont plan on swapping out turbos anytime soon, dont swap out the manifold. It may look cool, but theres nothing cool about the power losses...

so my question is, what exactly does'nt work with the s14 sr intake manifold on the s13. Has anyone actually tried this?? I've seen previous threads saying oh it won't work. But never a solid answer.

I believe the s14s have some sort of water jacket in the manifold...i have a s14 IM gasket here that i can compare to an s13 one tommorow and let you know. I'll also check the bolt pattern, port position/shape etc.

Actually looking at this on phase2 makes me think the bolt pattern is different

I really could't see the difference working on them, but I guess now its obvious.
