ok so the idle was fine befor and vac was perfect. i swaped in a cometic hg and arp studs and now the problem. when i turn the car on it idles at 1200 rpm, then after a few minutes it will drop to 500 and somtimes will shut off, usualy just hovers at 500rpm. its funny thoguh because i thught maybe the coolant is leaking into somthing but compression is fine, and say i turn the car on, it warms up, the problem starts and car idles bad, i shut it off and restart it immediatly it iwll idle at 1200 for a few minutes again.?

I have similarly the same problem, but doesn't shut off and it doesn't do it when the car is warm just in the morning. WHat I have done was to make sure the timing is dead on with the CAS and a timing gun. WIth the Mac timing gun you should adjust idle to 15 BTDC and then adjust time so it also matches. Secondly, check your plug gaps and make sure it is around .028 so that might help. GOod Luck

Then the next thing is, try to clean the IACV or adjust the idle screw. There are numerous threads on cleaning hte IACV and it tells you were it is. But basically it is that small pipe from the cold pipe which goes in right under the intake manifold. So basically run the car at idle and spray some intake cleaner into that small pipe slowly. Next try and adjust the idle up which is a phillips screw between intake runner 2 and 3. Good luck

i already did it 2 times. i dont understand why it runs fine for like 3-4 minutes then it just drops like after its warmed up. we cant figure it out and nothing from any searches pulled anything up that would help me.

What is your AFR? Did you check any of that? The engine runs very different when in idle and when it warms up.

i have no idea. id imagine w/e stock would be but its flooding because of the temp sensor so i might kill 2 birds with 1 stone here:cj:

Oh crap, I didn't read you had studs in. What was your Torque specs? it should be 80 pounds across. What was your compression 145 all across? But I would clear all the ECU codes before anything because that is known bad and you should always start from known bad or you will be shootin in the dark.

ok to clear the ecu i have done all the things, unplug it, undo the battery, turn the knob to rese. is there another way i missed or somthin because i still am having the code 13 and bad flooding. i did like 75 or 8 on my studs, yea they are studs not bolts, im thinking of pulling the cams blah blah blah and making shore they are all tightend just to rull 1 more tihng out
