Does anyone know where I can take my car to get my engine bay pressure washed?

I know a lot of people will say just spray it down with water or get some engine degreaser and then spray it off but I don't want to risk shorting a wire or damaging anything in the engine bay so I want it professionally (or at least someone who knows what they're doing) to wrap up all the wires and other stuff that shouldn't get wet, to clean it.

My engine is very very dirty and really think a good cleaning would not only make the bay look great but maybe even help performance. There's caked on oil on the edges of the valve cover, there's dirt caked on all over the bay from when I crashed at horse thief mile, and it just hasn't been washed in the 1.5+ years since I've owned the car.

Any suggestions? Or has anyone done this to their own engine bay with no problems whatsoever?

I'm located in Riverside and wouldn't mind driving up to an hour to LA or OC to have this done.

Hello ,take a plastic bag & wrap up your dizzy if its KA, Cover your air filter & coil also. But first get some gunk degreaser soak it down, get a brass scraper and break loose all the caked up dirt( may need to repeat). Now to wash soak it down with gunk then hose it down (get one of those pistol style hose things) . Now just dont spray water directly on major electrical components for toooo long.Repeat if needed. Let it drip dry before you attempt to start it. (PS) I do this after every event Im SR. PEACE

ez.

Drive it.

Simple green it.

Let it Sit.

Pressure Wash it.

and if your scared, just plastic baggy your coil, other than that nothing to worry about. I think you still have the stock airbox so no worries at all.

its easy. i do it at my work all the time. simple green it, let it soak, simple green it again, and pressure wash. but i have access to a air compressor at my work so i just air it down after. (i take off the plugs, blow air, take off the dist cap etc)
