Hi,

I copied this from the SR20forum.com and had to posted it on here. A couple of sr20 guys from sr20forum.com & G20.net set this nissan car meet event. anyways read below to get more information.

Nissans at the Petersen Car Show
brought to you by This Guy Promotions (http://thisguypromotions.com/)

Saturday August 4, 2007
10am - 2pm

at the
Petersen Automotive Museum (http://www.petersen.org/)
6060 Wilshire Blvd
Los Angeles, CA 90036 (http://www.google.com/maps?f=d&saddr=&daddr=6060+Wilshire+Blvd+Los+Angeles,+CA+90036&iwstate1=dir:to&oi=manybox&ct=16&cd=1&resnum=1)

This will be the event of the year for Datsun, Nissan and Infiniti enthusiasts. There will be hundreds of cars and trucks on display from the early, early days to the present, and possibly the future. There will be many vendor displays (http://www.thisguypromotions.com/business.html) and the opportunity to catch some great deals on parts and accessories. And the world famous Petersen Auto Museum too!

Participants $25 entry fee (http://www.thisguypromotions.com/participants.html) includes parking for your vehicle, admission to the museum, a raffle ticket and an event t-shirt. Additional admissions tickets are available for a discounted price of $8 (normally $10). Additional raffle tickets are $1 each, and event t-shirts may be pre-ordered for $12 each ($15 day of show). This will not be the normal "hang around in a parking lot" car show. With the Petersen Museum's world class collection of automobiles and memorabilia, this will be an event unlike any other.

There will also be RC car races featuring exclusively Nissan-bodied cars. Racing for trophies and bragging rights, we expect this event to be as hot as the show itself. So if you have a Nissan-bodied RC car, and some skills, come down and race with best RC car racers in Southern California.

The raffle will feature the best products available to customize and personalize your Nissan. Every car show participant will be given 1 ticket to be included in the raffle with additional tickets available for purchase throughout the show.

There will also be a $500 pay-out for the vehicle awarded "Best of Show". This will ensure everyones cars will be on point and keep the quality of the participants very high.

Please mark your calendars and join us for the must attend Nissan event of the year.

Adrian...Here is the show set up.
The show will be at the 4th level of the parkinglot along with teh vendors, Rc Car track, and entertainment. The 3rd level will be the cars entering in the car show. 2nd and 1st level will be for parking for ALL Nissan, Datsun, Infiniti drivers. We will do our best separating all the cars..S12,S13,S14,S15's, B11,B12,B13,B14,B15,B16's, 510's, 240Z's etc. and is FREE! Each floor hold about 320 cars. You get the picture. We are really working hard to get this thing to be BIG so we can do this everyyear. To enter in the museum is a discounted prive at $8.

ALbert, who did the Oxnard meet for 3 years has mentioned that he wont be doing OXnard next year and is helping us with this meet to replace it.

Other Benefits is that is is closer for everyone, food, and LIVE entertainment. Boothbabes will be there too.

As soon as i am done with the Fliers, ill post.

Questions...

Is the 3rd floor the $25 floor or is it 1st through 3rd floors?

Is this event being put on legally (I'm assuming with vendors it would be, but I have assumed wrong before)?

Nissans on first and second floor... where do other people go?
*I can only fit one friend in my 240... wouldn't feel good about stuffing someone in the Japanese torture trap.

I want to clarify some information. If you just want to come and check the show out, without entering into the judging, you are more than welcome to do so. Parking will be free to you. Museum admission will be discounted to $8 per person, and event t-shirts will be available for purchase at $15. You may also purchase raffle tickets.

By paying the $25 entry fee you are guaranteed a nice parking spot, 1 t-shirt, 1 museum admission and 1 raffle ticket. You will also be entered into the judging to win a trophy or more. It's just an added value and helps us determine what trophies to buy and how many t-shirts to order as well as how much parking to reserve. The museum is open that day for normal business, and it's possible the lot may fill up. But either way we look forward to seeing you there.

There will be food on site, I believe served by City Cafe. They are a very nice, Japanese restaurant close by. They will provide food available for purchase.

The museum's regular hours are 10am - 6pm on Saturday. Featured exhibits will be:
Micro Cars - The minimum in motoring (http://www.petersen.org/default.cfm?docid=1057)
Going Topless in Style - The American Convertible (http://www.petersen.org/default.cfm?docid=1054)
Ferraris at the Petersen (http://www.petersen.org/default.cfm?docid=1055)
Alternative Power - Lessons from the past, Inspiration for the future. (http://www.petersen.org/default.cfm?docid=1052)
Hollywood Star Cars
and a Discovery Day (http://www.petersen.org/default.cfm?DocID=902&CalendarID=481)

So remember, come, hang out with your friends and fellow Nissan Enthusiasts. Check out the cool cars and go through the museum, it is truly a world class display of cars.
BRING YOUR CARS!!! The more Nissans that show up the better! This is a LEGAL meet...no cops to break it up or hassle you, no dumb characters who do burnouts in the parking lot, Just pure Nissan Enjoyment. So if you were worried about being here, put your worries away. Now there is NO reason NOT to show up and enjoy!

Questions...

Is the 3rd floor the $25 floor or is it 1st through 3rd floors?

$25 is for the 3rd floor CAR SHOW CONTESTSTANTS(free for spectators to view)

Is this event being put on legally (I'm assuming with vendors it would be, but I have assumed wrong before)?

Yes, we have a contract with the Petersen Museum to host this event

Nissans on first and second floor... where do other people go?
*I can only fit one friend in my 240... wouldn't feel good about stuffing someone in the Japanese torture trap.

All other Nissans will have designated parking on the 2nd/1st floor for their chassis type.

*ALL FLOORS are accessible to spectators.
For example, you show up in your S13, park it on the 2nd floor in the S13 section, then walk around in all four floors. Check out the contestants on the third floor then go to the 4th floor(roof) and see the RC Racing and all the other vendor displays as well as the DJ'd music and LIVE performance! Get pix taken with the THIS GUY PROMOTIONS Booth Babes and much more!

This is the meet to be at guys! Hope to see you all there!

There ya go!

Simple rules,
-Drive convoy style, taking up only one lane, unless passing for photos, videos, slow drivers, etc.
-No excessive speeding. (5-10mph faster than group) If you get pulled over for racing/showing off, no one's stopping for you.
-Parking lights must be on while with the group to identify you as such.
-No racing/erratic lane changes (again one lane unless passing, as stated above)
-Radios and cell phones are encouraged, as well as cameras and camcorders, however... please use them in a safe manner. Preferably used by a passenger. (Radio channel will be announced at each meet location and will depend on frequency traffic)
-and last but not least lets make it a fun run. Drive courteously, let others in, and don't cut people off. We want the Nissan community to have the respect of others on the road. Let’s not gain the reputation of other communities. *cough*Honda*cough*
