you should drift into oncoming traffic.

Suspension:Energy bushings, Hawk track pads, braided lines, 5 lug swap, widened front end, good alignment, KYB AGX's with eibach sportlines.
Power: AEM intake and Borla catback.

the same thing you do for any car
make it safer
make it stiffer
make it stop harder
make it stop harder longer
aint rocket science
maintenance
helmet
better fluids
seat
experience
coilovers
diff
tires
pillowball mounts everywhere

everything that you said is right and those are my future plans, but i need coilovers first cuz after going to the track and autocross with stock shocks and eibach springs my car is not that stiff and still leans( i have sway bars btw and still leans a bit) what kind of coilovers do u have if u have some on ur 240? do u road race first of all?
what does everybody think of kts or stance for road racing?

coilovers will improve your car but it wont improve your skills
you should stick to stock suspension until you've learned to control the car
when you've learned the track and can drive consistently, then change the car
of course, shit like maintenance and seats and safety and blah blah should always be done first

Get good tires (like falken azenis rt-615) and good brakes (like hawk HPS) that are within your budget (it better be good). That is all. And forget those vague advices. And follow the safety tech inspection guidelines.
If you plan to roadrace especially in this summer heat, FOCUS on your cooling, when it comes to engine performance. It may run nice on the streets but it will be a different story when you're in the high deserts and can only do 2 laps per session @ WSIR (I know this one from experience).

i found it better to take slow steps into doing upgrades on your car...
you'll find it cheaper too if you were to budget your mods accordingly...
if you plan to auto-x and its your first time driving... it might be best to start off w/ you car being mostly stock... some body roll might teach you a thing or two about weight shifting...
from there you'll learn and want to go for either a coilover setup or a simply shock and spring setup depending on what class you plan to stay in (auto-x)... determine a class you would most likely fit in... and do your upgrades according to that class you are most comfortable in... (don't forget to factor your money budget in the class you pick)
if you plan to drift your car more... i would suggest getting a 2-way lsd first. Its somewhat best to learn how to drift w/ stock suspension and stock power to get the feel of the whole physics of your car... you have to spin out first a couple of times first before you can learn how to drift....
then from there you can probably pick up some coilovers, tie-rods, etc.
of course you don't have to listen to me... but this system worked for both me and my g/f... and we did not even have to break our piggy banks...
buy what you can afford... don't blow your whole savings on your car you would not know how to drive...
