they are basically the same turbo but all skyline turbos use ceramic blades which make them brittle when raising the boost on them. S15 turbos are a great upgrade for the sr20.

id go s15 only reason cause they are stronger than the rb26 turbo's.The rb26dett t28 is a bit lighter but the blades are weaker. So yea s15 t28 for the win!:bigok:

I think I would swap the last two. Depending on housing you get (I know the 71r's can go either t2 or t3 flange) and a/r of it...
either way 2871r makes more power and is bigger than a disco patato

haha, i think any 3xxxx beats the 28 series,
t2 flange is kinda restrictive, but best one i'd get is 2871r, even tho the 2871 is available with t3 flange, i'd definitely get something else instead because that opens up a whole new ball game... turbo selection...
but for OP, s15 t28 is as easy as it gets, it is essentially the s14 t28 but slightly different (inconel middle thingy and exhaust divider)

yeah I actually think I will be pretty much done with my car with that ha ha.
T3 flanged 2871R, Power FC, 550cc injectors, Stage 3 Z32 Clutch (n/a), and a good tune.... ha ha go back and Show the FD who's daddy. :bigok:

? all the turbos mentioned in this thread bolt right up, unless your talking about having to clock the gti-r turbo

haha, i know,
this thread first started about 2 turbos, next thing you know it's pulsar, 2871r, disco potato, t3 flange, twin scroll, etc etc...
but between the 2 options in the first post,
it's s15 hands down

der...so no it doesnt bolt right up if you have to clock the compressor housing because it wont fit.

Well technically it DOES "bolt right up". Clocking has nothing to do w/ the 4 bolts/studs that mate the exhaust housing to the exhaust manifold ;)

im not going to argue about it. theres two ways you can take it.
