seeing as how you own it, it's now a two-owner car.
You need to have purchased the car NEW to be able to claim a car is one-owner.
I could claim my minivan as being a 1 owner car and simply explain away that it's changed hands umpteen million times since it was purchased from a nice Japanese family who took meticulous care of it.

American couple as opposed to a German couple? Chinese couple? Vietnamese couple. That statement is pretty wack. If you are a citizen of the U.S. then your an American. To say you bought from an American couple sounds racially challenged on your part. Or are you not a citizen? Therefore you feel the need to differentiate? Most people you buy a car from here would be Americans.
Chinese Americans, Japanese Americans, Italian Americans,Irish Americans, Spanish Americans,Mexican Americans, Vietnamese Americans etc....

Also your statement about them claiming it was maintained at a dealership leads one to believe that you don't think it was. I don't think you were trying to say you doubt them but that is what your sentence says.
