I've herad of some people sticking ford motors in their 240 's. I was just wondering if this is possible?

Im curious because ford engines are cheap horsepower and thats what I need because I dont watn to be investing too much money into my car.

You can get a well built 302 block for under 1000 dollars that put out close to 300 horsepower.

I was just wondering if its even possible to make happen and what would prolly be involved in making this work.

I'm sure it's possible, but it also adds a lot of weight up front and will require plenty of fabrication.  If you really want to know, get the dimensions of your desired long block and start measuring.

Anything's possible with enough money.

That said, they fit in old school Z's, and the 240SX engine bay is slightly larger than theirs.

It hasn't been done because the 240SX is still a fairly recent car with an already proven engine upgrade path, and a fairly solid stock engine.

It's done on a fairly regular basis with FC RX7's, and a lot of the same ideas will work for this swap. It won't throw off the balance if you know what you're doing.

BTW - welcome to the forums and try the search function - I know this question has been asked (and answered by me!) in the past.
