Hey guys need some opinions on what happened. I searched for days and but cant figure it out.
I just moved to San Diego and towed my car from San Jose. the car was my daily driver in San Jose with no problems ever. I pull the car off the trailer this morning and drive it to go fill it up with gas because it was really really low, filled it up then on my way home I was in third gear and the RPM jumped a little then the car shut off. I tried starting it, and it turns over but doesnt fire up. It is acting like I ran out of gas but its got a full tank.
thanks for the help in advance, Im just hoping that Its not this San diegan voodoo.

Im running a SR20det stock with walbro 255 fuel pump. and besides bolt ons thats it stock ECU and everything.
I am thinking its a fuel pump or filter... but when I turn the key the fuel pump does prime. And recently at home in SJ when I would turn it off I would hear a noise like a wine from the fuel pump so maybe its priming but is just toast, also I did run it pretty low on gas so I could have picked up some shit off the bottom of the tank..

Anyways thanks guys

If the car just shut off it might be the fuel pump or an electrical problem somewhere. Check your fuses, maybe the ignition fuse popped for some reason.

thanks bro, yea Im gonna go check the fuses. Its about a mile away from my house on the side of the road, If it were to be the fuel pump, how hard is that to replace, and can I do it on the side of the road. Could it be my ecu is fried or would that cause more of an issue than just starting.

I'm not so sure I would jump to the fuel pump right off of the bat. There is a fuse for the fuel pump, check that as well. How old is the pump?

Turn the car over a couple times and take one of the spark plugs out. If it smells heavily of gas it's not your fuel pump. There's a write up in my s13 build in my sig on how to change the pump if for some odd reason it died.

You check your coilpacks.

I'd hurry up and get the car towed home, last thing you need is some douchebag fucking with your car.

Yup I'd tow it, but sounds like a fuel pump. If you put in a walbro and it was really really low, you can overheat and blow it

I took the fuel line off the fuel rail right after the fuel filter and turned the key and it sprayed fuel all over the place. So I determined that its not the pump or the filter, I am talking to a guy named mark who owns a shop in El Cajon and he thinks it might be he ignitor, anyone know anything about this.
Thanks for all the help to guys.
