I am about to install my GT2871R and my buddy told me to get an oil feed restrictor for my turbo or I'll " blow my oil seal ". I already have the stainless oil and water lines that I got from Phase2. So do I really need the oil resrictor for my turbo and is anyone running with or without one here. I thought the turbo already has one on there that's intergrated. thanks

your buddy go on honda-tech at lot? haha, for some reason everyone over there thinks judgement day will come if you don't use one.

look at the oil inlet of the turbo if you see a brass object with a tiny hole than the turbo has the restrictor built in. If you see a normal hole with the turbo shaft visible you will need a restrictor size needed is 0.035"

garrett gt turbos come w/ built in in-line restrictor, but it is recommended to have additional restrictor externally to avoid over-pressuring the turbo oil seals. if you are using stock banjo restrictor bolt w/ your ss oil feed line, you should be ok. but if not, you should pick up an oil restrictor fitting(0.03" for small gt)

If you got them from Phase 2 I would think they offer Taka lines and from what I remember, Taka always includes an oil restrictor with his lines.
