Yes I tried searching but "kw" is too short to count :(
Anyway has anyone used these? Any comparisons to any other coilover? My local shop is willing to give me a nice deal on these, but im not about to get some bad coilovers just cuz I can get a nice deal.....Any advice?

It doesnt seem like alot of 240 owners use them, but I usually hear good things from my honda buddies.

I think there was a post about the difference between the kw variant 3 and the Silkroads a couple weeks ago. But yeah try looking at the group buy at the Max coilovers.

look at the MAX coilovers
hahaha
too funny
jdm fresh!
KW is great stuff
for real racing.
i ssaw them in person and my friend shav ethem
seem great coilovers if u kno whwat u are doing. double adjustable (compression/rebound) real racing stuff.
used a lot on pro racers and shit often. euro cars..a lot too.
if u know what u are doing, get them. they arent cheap too.
if u are a dummy and dont care, get the usaul off the shelf, alreayd set up for you, click a button type stuff.

Definitely not bad coilovers. Very popular for serious racers.
[email protected] sold tons of these to the evo guys. So don't be expecting a really smooth ride daily driving if you get these

I have a couple of friends with S2000s that love them... The variant 3s that are two way adjustable are about $1800 IIRC...

MSRP IS 1925 according to KW Website.
However i found the spring rates to be pretty soft
Spring rates (lbs/inch or Progressive Spring): Front=340 / Rear=230
Straight from the KW website.

Wow basically 6/4 kg/mm spring rates...thats kinda crazy.
Yeah the local shop is willing to sell them for less than 1600. His price sheet didnt show the 240sx units for some reason, and he thought that he remember that they retailed for 2100 (or so, same price as 350z), so he told me 1600 based on that retail. So im sure it would be less than that considering that the actual retail is less than 2100.
The only question I have now is how much to get them rebuilt?
Thanks for the good infoz! The double adjustable (compressions AND rebound) really made me want to go for these. I definately have a solid understanding of how shocks affect handling so I can deal with the extra adjustment :)

Wow I didn't know they were that cheap... anyone want a nice new set of Tanabe Super 7s? lol. Get rid of that pussy 6/4 crap and get some 10/8 Tanabe kidney churning goodness.
To be honest, as my car gets closer and closer to being done and I drive it faster/harder, the stiff ass springs that all the top end coilovers come with are too stiff for anything except parking lot/track drifting. They just bounce/slide over everything, instead of gripping like the 'vette.
More on topic though, I think Dousan has a great point though - "regular" coilovers in that price range have fantastic valving for being only 1 way adjustable - the rebound tracks very well with the compression, and I can barely ever feel the need for independent adjustment (like on my bike, where it has separate ride height/preload/high spd compression/low spd compression/rebound adjustment). Unless you plan to spend days dialing in your suspension for one track/road, just get an off the shelf, good quality set.

The more I read, the more I think Stance for entry level coilovers.
