in the 2 projector headlights will these 100w bulbs do any harm? i dont know if the housing around the bulb is plastic or glass. im not too worried about the fog light wiring since i have a good fog light kit to install them but the high beams i believe it is i have a little worries about. what do you all think? good...bad...??

high wattage bulbs are known to melt the inside of the housings. I dont know if they will melt any of the 240 housings. Also, it would help if you are more specific about where these are going in. Seems like a zenki s14.

Higher wattage bulbs will burn up the switch and possibly the harness if not wired properly with an additional relay. The headlight housing itself is fine to handle it though.

great great great...just what i wanted to know. thanks.

now its makin me think of rewiring all my lights. i know my fog lights will be safe now for sure.

is there a way to fix the exsiting wires with a relay and switch or do you think i should just replace all the wires and start fresh and have a new little button in my dash?

i know electrical somewhat but im in no way an expert on it. i can redo things but not so much fix em...too bad thanks for the help.

Just use the existing setup to trigger a relay for each circuit.

correcto, glass lenses - the housings themselves should be able to support the additional heat, just be sure to run a wiring harness.

truth of the matter is though, and its a fact - that you will gain better lighting performance from a quality 55-65w hella 50mm halogen projector than with the stock projectors running even a 130w bulb. i wont bother mentioning that the hella 50mm projectors are also available in xenon. i also wont bother mentioning that there are other projectors that can be retrofitted.

i also... really wont bother mentioning that the fucking projectors are RIGHT HAND DRIVE and shouldnt be used here in the US, but thats besides the point.

yeah, im not repeating myself

hahaha....yea i know but my whole car shouldnt really be used here either. atleast not in california. oh but the lights i got are 100w h3c super white xenon bulbs.

h3 and h3c are identical bulbs, minus the pigtail connector on the standard h3c. the h3c has a 2 prong connector, no biggie.

stay away from anything super white, its bullshit and just for color. we sell higher wattage h3 and h3c's, all good quality. actually, i think we still have some h3c 85w made in japan - top quality, not that coated Nokya PIAA BS thats over-priced to hell.

anyway, dont use the factory projectors. swap them for the hella 50mm halogen. its a very affordable upgrade that will make you smile. the upgrade your doing now, well.. its not an upgrade, its just crap.

if you want to drive and see nothing, you're on the right track! :-) not trying to be a dick, just being honest.

reid and i sell the conversion brackets for the hella 50mm, and in addition to me.. there are a billion others selling hella 50mm projectors.

thats how mine is setup, so im still using the stock headlight switch.

i set mine up for h3 so if one goes out, i can just easily buy one from almost anywhere
