ok I dont get how it doesnt appear. Is it a magical link that dissapears when you type it. All you have to do is type it like you are typing a regular post and a bunch of letters and lines and dots should come out while you press the keys, on your keyboard. Before you know it you will have a duplicate on the screen, and walla it will show up when you post, don't bother with the preview just post.

nice vid
Appears to be footage from a recent round of the D1 All-Japan Pro Gran Prix. This footage is actually better than most of what they put on the Option videos. Nice very nice and I thought i saw a couple s13 180sx's.

EDIT: go to the 2002advan_ebisu one, so many freaking nice ass cars, and some 180s in there, and some good ole jap girls for you horney ones, the one on the left is pretty ugly but the right is alright. but who am i to judge

I disagree kid, me likes the one on the left. Im talkn about the one in the red. The right one is not that great. This is at the end of the clip right? Not sure if i saw the right ebisu vid. There were two. Ebisu circuit, very famous togue japan.

BTW: I get affended when people say "Jap" in their post. Kid, I know you weren't being derogatory.....but next time ima zap you with my SuperSoaker (wish I still owned one).:p

I have been fortunate enough to have gone to Japan on several ocassions. Rent is always free...my relatives! heh heh. Just save enough money and make a trip there, doesnt have to be now, anytime in your life...it'll be worth it.

I believe it has to do with shifting the vehicle's weight forward, giving the car more of a "dip" towards the apex/inside of the turn -- this looks good/is stylish and gets the driver extra (style) points, while also adding difficulty to the drift.

Oh my goodness... i've watched that video a dozen times already, and I can't get over the TT Soarer... that sound is so insane, I don't think I've ever heard an engine so beautiful.
The Soarer (SC300) has just jumped 5 notches up on my cars wish list.

Oh right, and the rest of the vids on that page aren't nearly as entertaining. -_- though I DID learn a lot from the Advan DNA tyre technology booth.

i have to admit it does sound beautiful but im sure the other cars do too... my assumption is that the soarer sounded better than the other cars due to he wasnt drifting like the others hence the sound of screeching tires drowning out the spoiling turbos

well i know that they shift the weight forward, but i don't see how that requires locking the front tires, don't you want the front to have alot of traction, whereas locking the front tires may cause under steer, which you don't want when drifitng...

i'd just say they do it for show?

but i don't think theres a logical use for doing it, heavy braking can shift the weight forward plenty without having to lock the front tires.

maybe im wrong...

Minh T

nevermind my above post, i sound like a retard in that post.

BTW i think i just figured out why they lock the brakes

(not the time when the soarer fuked up)

DrDubbleB
08-17-2002, 06:25 PM
No, you didn't sound like a retard in your above post. Locking the front brakes might shift the weight to the front less than just regular hard braking. The reason, loss of traction of course. If you think you've figured it out, do share! I didn't see anyone lock their brakes except for when the SC300 fucked up, but then again, I wasn't looking for it, and have only watched it once.
