and he plans on taking the brand to the top.

I believe Kia will be awesome soon.

Supercharged *edit* Kias and RWD Hyundais. The future does come fast.

It's not the styling that's so funny, it's the concept of a 'performance' Kia. And Kia is a long way from being awesome right now. But it looks like they are heading in the right direction. Shame they are planning on a supercharger for the US market instead of the turbo.

Competition breeds innovation.

Though I didn't read anywhere that it would have AWD.

yup. thats what i was laughing about. when you think of performance, kia is not the first car manufacturer that pops into your mind.
I do agree that it is heading in the right direction. that XR version actually easy on the eyes compared to the other models that kia has.

Your correct, I just assumed that given their going against a WRX. Further research on the Hyundai Accent SR (Which will share the same engine) shows that the car will probably be FWD. Shame... Now I no longer care about this car. Lets hope kai's AWD concept (Audi TT Killah) Snowflake makes it to the US.

Regardless. We have entered the era of the Koreans.

Hyundia is convincing me right now (even though the convinsing models won't be out for over a year), Kia, not so much. However I can see this car going a long way in it's segment.

KIA moving on up in the world apparently.

A performance KIA. I remember when they first came out and how everyone thought they were crap. Now I'm getting impressed by them.

"Turbocharged engines would be aimed at Europe and supercharged engines at the American market because of different customer demands," the source said.

Meh, I still don't see kids running out and buying these for a very long time. If they want to stay in the market it was only a matter of time before they came out with something performance, our youth is demanding it. Not too shabby for a first attemped. Might be a fun car to drive though. I remeber when i worked at Thriffty rent a car, we had awd suzukis that were aswome to drive in the dirt lot next door.

I think it looks pretty nice, obviously Audi-like in a good way. Every company has to start somewhere, there was a time when a performance BMW was considered laughable.

I'll take that kia over a WRX anyday.. 100,000 mile warranty too.. I'll beat the crap out of it and when 95K miles comes up there will be a for sale sign in the window.

I gotta give them credit in the looks department that thing looks pretty nice. New WRX's are ugly. Of course I have never consider WRX's to be all that in the looks department

Cheap DD with a warranty that'll last longer than the car.
Sounds perfect.

Nahhhhhh...give em a chance. Everyone sucked at 1 point.
