WTF Is Up With My Door Locks

So i lock my car only to have my friend pull in and start talking with me about my car.... he pulls on the handle to open it up and peek inside, Just as I say wait i locked it let me run inside and get the keys.... the door pops open.... i was like WTF! &nbsp;<img src="http://www.zilvia.net/f/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/sneaky.gif" border="0" valign="absmiddle" alt=':pissed:'>

SO i open the door.... Press the driver side door lock into the locked position and the passanger side flips over to lock as usual.... i close the door and try to open it and it opens right up like its nobodys business.. So no i messed around with it and the only way to lock the doors is to put the key in the door from the outside and lock it that way....

Anyone else ever had this happin to them? what do you think it could be causing this problem..... Im pretty mad I mean i never really gave it any thought today while i was out and I had a bunch of stuff in the back seat....

dude nothings f'ed up. when u lock the door from the inside latch you have to hold the handle on the outside up while u close the door. then both doors lock. it only works on the drivers side also.....i figured it on after have a nissan Z and a 240 i though both cars had f'ed up locks till i read the owners manual <img src="http://www.zilvia.net/f/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/satisfied.gif" border="0" valign="absmiddle" alt=':satisfied:'>

No im saying i press the driver side and it "locks" thee passanger side too.... BUT your saying in order to get them to lock for real i have to hold the latch on the outside of the door up and then push the lock closed and it will lock ?
Okay then ill give it a go in the morning..... actually it looks easier now just to lock Via key outside

its kinda weird. u hold the outside latch up while closing the door. u g et use to it after a while. its eaiser than fumblimg for ur keys and missing the keyhole at night.
yes both latchs lock when u flip the drivers side lock but if u close the door without hold the latch up they unlock again. sounds like u;ve been leaving ur car open all this time

Yes it seems its been open and ready to be raped of all my posessions..... well see the thing is... i push the button i hear activity and i think nothing of it.... i never really ever tested it...... or to be honest every thought about it.....

Anyways now i know.... "and knowings half the battle"
