what is the max spring rate the agx's can handle? i called KYB and all the info the tech could offer me was that they were tested to withstand 10% stronger than oem rates, but didn't test past that, and that the AGX's are lose their efficiency at a drop lower than 1.5". Has anyone been running Megan Racing springs with their agx's? did they blow? if so, how long was it? my choice in megan racing is not based on it's price, but on it's 6/4.5 rates, which are near coilover.

way too stiff

if u want those rates, get coilovers

are they too stiff for the agx's or too stiff in you opinion for the ride? i dont care about ride quality.

im running Megan racing springs and AGX's. i absolutely LOVE the setup. i havent done any adjusting with the shocks, i just have them set at half way (2 up front and 4 in back). i'll probably go stiffer for the next track event but i like this for DD. its pretty stiff but i love the feel of it. its a nice looking drop too.

i believe option means too stiff for AGX's

just based on what's commonly known about agx's, he is probably right. you could e-mail KYB and simply ask them. i'm sure they would know.

you might want to try e-mailing koni as well and asking them if the yellows could handle those rates (i think they might). that might be a better option, but it costs more.

Model Number : MR-LS-NS13
- Color: Orange
- Lower rate: 1.75" Front+Rear
- Springs rate: 350F & 250R

Are these the ones you're looking at?
Seems like they're in the grey area... a tad too low, and a tad too high spring-rate. I'm sure you could get away with it, but it depends one if you're looking for AutoX, DD, drift, etc.
This would probably be best suited to a DD+"spirited driving", with the ocassional track day.

I think the downs are a perfect match, prob the most you should go with the agx's. I always wondered if the race spring would be too much, so I went the safe route and used the down springs. Im selling my agx/rsr setup right now, used them for about 2years and couldnt speak more highly of that setup. I think theyre a great street/autox combo, just make sure and put in some bumpstops, definitely saved mine from destruction-gl

race spring would be too much

mine probably lasted a year and a half with auto-x sessions

I like eibach pro-kit ont he agx's better than the tiens on the agxs.

Im switching to coilovers soon, but I might get some gymkhana or wsprings track times before i ditch the spring/shock

Espelir springs FTW by far some of the nicest lowering springs on the market.
