well i just purchased the 300zx conversion. well sort of.

i got the rotors and calipers 30mm for $220.

is that good?  what else do i need?

the break line, pads, and shims.  right??

how much are those

that's a decent deal.  i got my calipers for $100 shipped and the rotors from Don for $210.  

lines = $~100
pads = $35-100
shims = cheap
rebuild kit? = $20 each
fluid = $5-20
paint? = $10

I'm assuming the rotors are in good condition and don't need resurfacing?

Get 300zx lines...they fit. You can't use your stock 240 lines. Get some good pads for the fron AND rear. (you should always use the same pads front and rear, unless you can manually adjust the bias) New brake fluid (don't change when it is raining or humid out)

ok, where do i get the shims. Nissan Dealer?

i bought them off of chris may. rotors dont need to be cut. already painted silver. i bought the rebuild kit for 18 bucks

i just need the lines, i think srswap.com has them for 79 bucks and pads.

i think i will go with hawk hp or any type of suggestions?

nissan dealer or courtesy parts.  don't know p/n or cost...sorry.  don got them for me with all the other stuff.

I'd recomend against suggesting the 300zx lines if you don't know how they are different. &nbsp;While some are successfully using them, it is not the kind of info I would spread on the boards without at least explaining how they are made to work. &nbsp;It's my understanding that neither the 240 or the Z lines are compatible with the swap as is and it would not be good for someone on the board to install them assuming they are a direct fit.

The 300zx brake lines will not mate up with the 240 brake line. I think you can change the brake line end or something but its not worth the hassel. Just go through heavythrottle and get there 300zx BFG stainless steal lines that are ment for this conversion. Good price and fast shipping.. Im still mad at them though..
