My Transmission needs one of the 2 im not sure which but if anyone knows how to change them please help. Also any info on what they look like, do, cost, where they are, and where to buy one would be very appreciated! THANKS

The bearing (throw-out) is pretty cheap (iirc, under $20).  I can't say exactly what it does, but it has to do with allowing the pressure plate in the clutch to continue to spin during engagement.  It is located b/n the shifter fork and the pressure plate, on the main tranny shaft.  It's a cheap part... it's just that you have to separate the tranny from the motor to fix it - which is neither cheap nor easy.

You dealer should stock them (or even a good parts house).  The question for you is whether you might as well do the clutch while you were at it?

sorry this is kinda off topic but how important is it to grease the input shaft? my friend helped me put a new clutch in and we put a new throw out bearing in place of the old one but he said it wasnt neccessary to grease the shaft. help please.
