Im leaking oil in my 96 240, and it appears to be coming out of the oil pan right were it bolts to the block (its a slow leak) im guessing its the gasket... Anyone have any clues on if its the gasket or what else it could be? and can i pick up a gasket at the local auto store or do i have to go to Nissan.... Thanks in adavance

iirc, you just use liquid gasket on the oil pan. It isn't under pressure like your main seals, so a leak there isn't as vital.

i second that. silicone RTV (blue stuff) will work just fine for your task.

There is a nismo gasket for it as well.. but RTV will work fine.
Not sure how long ago, but I wrote a very lengthy in-depth reply about how to fix this. try the search function.. (may be in FAQ too??)
