Cause i need a exhausts shiped from there and dont wanna run into more legal bullshit.

You serious? Slap your friend.
Almost all the stateside divisions of Japanese aftermarket companies are in CA (Apex'i, etc) as well as TONS of US market exhaust companies. That smells like extreme BS. All those companies as well as the businesses which sell their products would go apeshit lickety split.

Governor Schwarzenegger just criminalized farting for the emissions it produces. Also, all Mexican food has been officially made illegal for its contribution to smog in the greater LA area

LoL... I pretty sure its not illegal... but don't expect to get a box that hasn't been touched... they go through everything!

Similarly, I remember my uncle shipped me his computer from AZ to CA, and when I got it, it looked raped. The chassis was all taken apart and poorly reassembled...

I think it has more to do with terrorism than smog laws.

i ship exhaust out on almost a daily basis (through UPS). and they never had a hold on it. if you want it w/almost no hassle have them ship it ups next day air. its hella expensive but it once it gets to the main ups hub, its put back on another truck to be delivered to the airport.

where is your friend in cali ? if he's local to my friends ups store we/I can help em out.

Just have the seller cut the exhaust into a lot of pieces to say it's not an exhaust and then find a good welder and have him weld it all back together.

Okay, I'm kidding. I seriously doubt that it's illegal. Call USPS I'm sure they'll know.

Ask the seller to sprinkle white powder on it so it doesn't get touched.
