The time has come for me to sell my Zenki. There are a few things that need to be done to it, and it is just costing me too much money. I need to save because I'm going to school next year, and I can't afford a money pit. It is such an awesome car, and I hate to part with it, especially since it's not finished, but I just can't keep it.
Just for clarity, the engine runs perfectly, but the turbo is blown. It is an RB25 turbo that runs at 11 psi, and just needs to be rebuilt. I don't have the cash to shell out to fix it (maybe $250-$300). The engine puts out about 240-250 horsepower.
The car is a 1995 S14 Zenki with 197,xxx miles on the shell. It has relatively new shocks and springs, with about 35,000 miles on them. The interior is in good shape, except the dash, which is cracked. It currently doesn't have a heater/AC/motor, but I have them coming in the mail right now. It is missing the radio trim, glove box, and the trim that covers the ignition. It has power windows, door locks, and a sunroof.
The paint is in alright shape, but it will need to be repainted soon. It is burgandy, but I repainted the engine compartment black. It needs a new hood, or a little bit of body work. There are two small dings on the driver's side fender, but they don't need any special attention to fix them. The front rims don't match the rear, but they don't look too bad. I was going to go 5 lug. I have a set of SE rims lined up that are 5 lug, if you're interested.
The engine is in great shape. It runs perfectly, except for the turbo. I have an RB25 turbo on it, and it runs at 11 psi (because of the RB20 wastegate actuator). The motor has 38,xxx miles on it, and pulls hard.
Here are the mods:
-RB25 Turbo
-XTD Stage 2 clutch, with greddy pressure plate
-Resurfaced flywheel
-New Thermostat
-Electric Fans
-RB20 aluminum radiator
-Straight piping exhausts
I used McKinney motor mounts, which work great, and a McKinney stainless steel downpipe.
It has power steering, and I have a place that can make the two AC lines it needs for about $80. Everything else for the AC is there.
This is a very clean swap. There are still a few things that need to be done to the car to get it all nice, but it is mostly complete.
I am asking $5500 for it, since the turbo is blown. I would ask $8,000 for it if it were running and complete. The swap alone cost me at least $4500, and the car cost me $3000, so this is a really good deal if you don't mind doing a little bit of work to the car.
If you have any questions, email me at [email protected] You are more than welcome to come see the car. I can ship the car at your expense, if you want.
Thanks,
Cameron
