Try Zilvia. A lot of times the cars are priced cheap enough to offset shipping.

i bought an s13 of ebay, an s14 off zilvia- i sold it on zilvia a few months later also, and i just traded a system for an s13 off of craigslist.

to get a good deal, go after the people that only see it as a 10-15 year old car. ask any one you see driving if they want to sell. you never know. most 240's around me are beat to shit, so i dont bother asking...

i bought my 240sx off of craigslist, it's a 1991 LE that had 120xxx miles on it. the funny thing about it is that i never even seen the car, no pics were posted at all. i told the guy i want it now for the asking price he's giving. he said okay because i'm the only one that wants it for that price and the other people were lowballing. he also told me that the car is in good condition(i trusted that for dumb reason). so i went to go see the car for the first time and oh my god that thing is in mint condition. asked him why's he selling, he told me, he had just got this car for a month because he came from korea for school, and now he's going back, so the car has to be gone. plus, on top of that, he bought it from a old lady which was the first owner! so i bought it, and drove home happy! :)

i searched nico, 240sxforums, and here on zilvia. i ended up finding my baby on 240sxforums from a local guy. he literally lived down the street from me. he bought it from a california lady who maintenanced it . original owner. i got lucky. =-)

also ask your local tuning shop, most of the tunning shop have good condition of 240sx. my friend got his at G-Dimension, KA 125*** stock run just like new and condition are super clean like a new car as well. and he only pay for 2250....... sigh lucky him...

-My red 95 came from this kid who posted it on the local board. It's a 95 5spd, SE with sunroof. He riced it out with a body kit but by God's grace, it's a Greddy Gracer kit. How he got his hands on it, I have no clue. $3000. This was 2 years ago.

-My concord gray 95 came from this kid at my school who graduated and needed to sell the car quick to get rid of it and to take a trip back to India. It's base, auto, sunroof, spotless interior, slight paint fade, and blown headgasket. Came with a Hotshot header and Apexi catback. I paid $300 (yes, two zero's) for it. Good carfax, clean title. I traded the gayTenzo-R wheels that came with the car to this kid with a Spec V Sentra and he gave me his stock wheels + $100. I traded the Spec V wheels for a s14 5spd driveshaft, front 5-lug, and a host of miscellaneous parts. Fast forward a couple of months and I have a running car I paid peanuts for. Errrrrrday I'm hustlin lol :fawk:

I had been looking all last summer for a '97-98 on all the forums; zilvia, 240sxforums, nicoclub, club240,cars.com, autotrader, craigslist, etc.
I found a '90 300ZX 5spd. w/104k on it for $4k. My dad and I went to check it out, he thought it would be "too fast" lol, and decided to not let me get it.
So I was pissed at him and went home and I found my '98 auto on autotrader.com. It was up in Ohio w/barely over 76k miles on it for $9k. We had a wholesale dealer friend of mine call up and he ended up knowing the guy at the Nissan dealership. So he talked him down from $9k to $6700. Talk about a deal, it was shipped down here a week later...

thanks for all the input! so far i have looked at to 91 coupes and a fastback. one guy wanted 900 for a white auto. coupe that needed a new exhaust and motor mounts.. but that was too much bs for me.. and the other two had been semi-molested.

When she got it, she didn't even know how to drive stick so I drove her around. Long story short, she canned me after 5+ years, so I got it as part of my severance package. Craigslist.com I got it for 700 bucks w/129k all power no rust no cracks great service record and for an extra 30 bucks more worth of supplies I fixed it up paints, sand paper, etc. I also threw new speakers and seats in it. I cleaned sanded and painted the rims.

My first one I bought from my dad for the great Price of $100

My second one i found in the virginia pilot classifieds. 1 owner/woman, immaculate, no accidents, navy wife, all service records from various nissan dealerships around the US. 125K mileage for $2800. I guess i was lucky

My third one my dad helped me find, also in the Virginia Pilot. 1 owner/med student, no accients, 115K on motor, claimed to have bad transmission, but it only needed the clutch to be bled. I picked it up for $900.

look around man. Theres a ton of them in the area, if you know or have the recources to do a 5pseed swap or motor swap, they are plentiful.
