Does the KA in the S14 have a symetrical setup. Ie can it be reversed/upside down. I'm not worrying about clearance issues, only that the bolts, and ports line up...I know you can do this with a mustang, but curious if i can do it with a 240.

here's a good angle of the stock exhaust from danio's site:

if u reversed that it wouldn't line up the same n the muffler would be to the right and all that crap.

don't see why u wouldn't just put it on the right way in the first place though cuz the whole thing would look "off" n probably scrape n hit stuff.

shit, i meant the exhaust manifold ports, not the whole setup. I want to reverse the exhaust manifold...so it points up instead of down

I caught what you meant... probably for a turbo setup? Like 5.0s do?
I don't think the stock manifold would lend itself to this, its too long. 5.0's usually use shorty headers for this right? I don't think there are any shorty headers for the KA... the Greddy unit comes closest

Yes, they are symmetrical for the DOHC in the S14. Not 100% sure about the S13, but it should be. An article in SCC about the XS Engineering turbo kit showed that it was because one of the perks about the kit was that due to the symmetrical bolt patterns of the exhaust manifold, the turbo could either be mounted 'on top' or 'down below'. Hope that answers your question.
