If you ordered it from VIS, it would be around $700.00. At least that's what I payed. Now that my hood is the 98 front end, I can't use this one. That is why I'm selling it if anyone is wondering. But i'll let it go for $500.00 + whatever it takes to ship it to you.

Ok man, my friend Kaliub has a 97 240. He got his hood from Fiber images, and it SUCKS!!!!!!!. doesn't line up with the car at ALL. Yes i know you can move the fenders. But that still didn't help. Looks like shit. I saw it and laughed. It didn't come with a clear coat and even his headlights shine through his hood! Better quality than VIS? I Think not, so go ahead an buy that cheap ass hood. Trust me, you get what you pay for.

fiber images normally makes good hoods... but lately they have had so many orders and they are understaffed... which is why for the last few months people have been reporting sorry fitment and what not.. i think the best way to go is vis or cwings.. both cheap and look good... ive ordered several of both and never any problems yet... we ordered a cwings hood for a celica and the freight company must have dropped it the package was dent so thats how we knew shipping did it... but it barely chipped the hood.. the guy didnt even care and i gave him $50 bucks back..

ok man, listen, I payed around 700 for it. I don't know who you talked too, but call and ask for Bruce, and see what he says. I have ordered two hoods from VIS and they both were around 700. And the 2nd hood, they didn't charge me shipping and it still was $650.00. SO no, I'm not ripping you off.

you also paid $6000 for your 97-98 conversion..

most 240sx owners are cheap (no offense), including myself. I'm not willing to pay full retail for an item like that.
I know what the cost on those hoods are, so I'd have to say it is expensive, and dealers are making quite a bit for profit.

VIS is no better than Fiber images in my opinion. My friend had one and it was oxidized and roughly cut..

If you are in the socal area I'd suggest contacting sunny styling,. they make pretty good quality c/f hoods.
