I searched, and didn't come up with anything. I'm torn between, the Hybrid gt spec, or the greddy spec-M setup. They are both priced pretty good, and there is that zilvia special, on the Hybrid GT setup.

Well now i guess it just comes down to quality. Greddy has built an excellent name for themselves and made the Spec-M specifically for a budget builder in mind. As for Hybrid GT spec, haven't heard a lot about them, but they don't look bad. I think super street just installed a Spec-M on their project 240sx in last month's issue. maybe you should take a look

you know i was in the same dilemma as you..... i ended up getting the greddy spec M as i have a vspl on my red 240 and im totally happy with the intercooler, so i stayed loyal and im sure the greddy type m will do me just fine.

^^^ true that. I sell alot of the type m fmic. No complaints about it. Seems pretty good quality and awesome price for u.s. consumers.

Could you guys please tell me what the differences between these huge SSA Intercooler for $ 400,00 and these $ 900,00 Greddy Intercooler are ? I think both types of intercooler will handle a lot of power, so is it worth paying more then double the price of the SSA Fmic to go for the Greddy one ?

the greddy spec M intercooler kit is roughly $400 usd

so for the same price would you rather have an ebay intercooler kit or one from greddy? i think the decision is fairly simple here!

im using the spec m intercooler and love it. no complaints at all really. as mentioned GReddy has a very respectable name and its alot harded to go wrong w/ a proven name brand than an offbrand company

Alot of times customers bring in ebay fmic kit in here to the shop for us to install, but we don't install the kit because it's a pain in the ass because the pipes don't fit up correctly or it's just a hassle to deal with. So basically the pipes they make half the times are crap and don't fit and also if you look inside the intercooler core. Alot of time you can tell that there's not alot of flow to it and so it just ends up being a non functional piece of metal that is just for looks.

Also you'll get people that get huge ass intercooler cores but if your still running a small T25 then your basically rendering your airflow useless. The small turbo doesn't push enough air through the intercooler to make purchasing a huge core worthwhile.

the 900 dollar one is the v-spl, this one uses the same core of the r-spl, with the oval type intercooler core instead of the bar and plate design like the m-spec. From what I have heard the oval shaft ones are a better design. The v-spl is the same as rspl except their fin design is not as efficient...

Trust me go with a nice greddy one, i used to use a megan racing one that was bigger than my current v-spl but was bar and plate. The boost response is way better and the turbo spools fully nearly 1k rpm earlier!

performance wise i cant tell you as my track is still in the build up process and the engine isnt running yet. but quality wise i dont think i could tell the difference between the vspl and the spec m if i had them side by side.

So far, I haven't heard anyones experience with the Hybrid kits. But yeah, i'm leaning towards the spec-m. Although, I don't think anyone here on my island, is running the Hybrid. Being different, is good too.

Thanks for the replys, i heard that the greddy m-spec is rated only to 350RWHP, so will i have a disadvantage if i am running much more hp ?

i've been told that the M-spec can hold upwards to 450hp
