can i run seafoam through the IACV on a redtop SR20DET? im having some real idle problems...just ran seafoam through the brake booster last week didnt do much...but is it safe to do seafoam through the IACV?

I dont see why not. I have read the extensive sea foam thread and it appears that you can run it through just about everywhere else. If it is not safe please come back and warn us. j/k

i did, it made it run a lil smoother while driveing but still idles rough. one other thing that idid notice is that everyonce in a while it will idle at like 1000. i've just been to lazy to remove it and clean it out with electric parts cleaner

you can use any intake cleaner for that
basically just stay away from carb cleaners, thats the only thing i know for sure can damage it
but you have to realize that there is many other factors that contribute to a rough idle and chances are just cleaning the iacv wont fix it, theres alot of threads about it on here.

yea i have tried many different things...i will try this next and if this doesnt work then im going to replace my whole intercooler and pipes...lets see

Have you checked for vaccum leaks?

yes i have been through all the vacuum lines one by one...i had to cap off one right under the throttle body...
