The 240sx is actually pretty damn safe for it's size. iirc, the s13 had a five star front crash test rating. I've got a roomate who's dad got in an accident in an s14 over 70mph, then hit again in the passenger side at 60 who made it through.

Man they are so not safe.. I mean if you own a S14 you better get rid of it asap... I run a company that buys 240s reallly cheap since they are crap and not safe then we scrape them so no one can get hurt in them... I will give you 500, feel free to drop it off anytime. BTW I wouldnt even drive it to my place.. better trailer it.

Why are you posting about how unsafe S14's are and then put a picture of a wrecked S13?

You owe me 6 minutes at $190/hr.

www.yahoo.com Seach "insurance rating 240sx"

1 (http://auto.consumerguide.com/auto/used/reviews/full/index.cfm/id/2219.htm) , 2 (http://www.autogiant.com/nissancrash.htm), there's more.

Basically, you are pretty safe in massive collisions. But, b/c abs is so rare and the car is rwd, you are more likely to wreck. Of course, anthing beyond a parking lot bumper-scuff will total the car thanks to the design. Insurance rates on this car are high b/c of this.

Crap, maybe I should not be so cheap and get full coverage on my car. Ah screw it, it's worth about $3000 at best.

my friend was rearened at about 55.. in a s14.. then he was pushed into the car in front of him.. from the inside of the car you could not tell he was in a wreck.. the car is still driveable... yes i know i couldn't believe it... just by looking at the car you would think the rear axle or something would be 2 damaged to drive..

natty- not quite as bad for the s13 (close though). Realistically, think about the cost of just doing the front end conversion on an s14 w/ all new parts. Anything over a 5 mph crash requires it. Plus any actual mechanical damage. It gets to $5K really quickly.

hey JEdubz check ur messenger... and dont u ever fucken step to me like that again... not only will i make u eat them words but also rip u a new one lil bitch

as for me to stfu cuz im a newbie with only 50posts... try this.. my first sr was back in 96 through VSPEC when they bought out SKYLINE (store) in hacienda heights on colima... Andy (owner of VSPEC) along with Will and Mike (both from Blitz) were the only So Cal heads that knew the wiring with ease during that time... i had to sell my sr due to debt and school... the current s13 that i own is my 5th... so im i still considered a sheep following the crowd cuz 240's are mainstream now?
