ok, i got a lil water temp gauge jus cuz i hear how retarted stock ones are, as matt explained to me... they read in 3 settings and 3 settings only. COLD, HOTT, and Blown Head Gasket... so with that being said, i decided to get one. but the new temp sensor it came with didnt fit in the hole of the stock one and i was to lazy to tap a hole in the neck or whatever. jus curious what makes the stock gauge so retarted? is it the gauge its self or is it the sensor? the stock sensor and the new one look almost identical other then the new one being a bit longer. i said fuck it and tapped into it anyway and it seems to be reading fine between 180-200 depending on how im driving. and of course when it first starts its way below 100 and increases as the engine warms up.

is it accurate? is it jus the stock gauge thats garbage? how different can 2 temp sensors really be? either way, i like it. but if i need to use the one supplied, then ill do so. jus thought it was funny how it works perfectly fine jus by tapping into the stock sensor, and i've read online that others have done this same thing.

Thats about right. My SR has the same reading and I tapped the water outlet. My temp. stays @ 180 +/- during normal/spirited driving and will get up to 210 w/the AC on.
