Tranny question

so today all day.. my car was fine. i took the car up a mountain for a nice drive.. not too aggressive at all, and finished. as i headed back down. i noticed a wierd grinding noise when i was in gear.. but off throttle. when i have my clutch down, it doesnt make this noise.. but when im in gear and moving it makes a wierd grinding noise. could this be low fluid?

maybe throw out bearing. just pull the motor, its a waste of time to drop your tranny to do a clutch job, unless you have a lift. easier to pull motor.
