Funny smell

the other day, i redlined my engine in a mjor way, like bouncing off the rev limiter, and after that a funny smell was coming from it, it wasnt burning clutch, sorta smelled of coolant tho... but now i can still smell it when i drive a day later.. anyone have any ideas on what happened?

Check your oil and check your coolant - They may look similar these days.  Does your car now smoke (white variety)?  If so, it could be a head gasket... or it could be that you have a leaking hose.  Either way, I'd be very nervous if I were you.

Make sure an animal didn't crawl up and die on the block. That would stink too... lol. It is funny but my friend had that happen. A rat made a nest and when he pulled the car out for the first time in spring it reeked to high heaven. We though something was wrong... nope, just chared rodent body. Not pleasant!

well, i pull into my spot after lucnc and there is this kid i know UNDER a mustang parked 2 spots away and all i see is legs so im like what the f_ck and i start talking to him and he was putting squid all over the engine so when it heated up, wonderfull smell of fish - he shouldent use the heat!

I had that same Problem Strange smell coming out!  I just made my GF take a bath and it helped alot

Did you get a chance to check your oil and coolant?  If either seems a bit thick or milky, it is going to be head related... if not, make sure you don't have a coolant leak.  240s seem to be known for head problems, however, so this would be my first check.
