View Full Version : Curious about S13 coupe valance options...

ive done a few searches on here and it hasnt really been what i was looking for...

im curious about rear valance options for the S13 coupe...my jaw hit the floor when i saw the rear valance G-Grow use to make for the S13 coupe as it followed the 180sx Kouki Aero lines perfectly (given it was molded to fit the kouki aero style)...however i recently found out that G-Grow is no longer in business...so the nice 180sx OEM Kouki bumper and OEM 180sx kouki sideskirts that i blew a rather large wad of cash on are still without a nice looking backend...ive been hunting for a rear bumper setup that would match my current aero setup but to no avail...and with G-Grow out of the picture was yet to start my journey again...blah

i currently own OEM S13 Silvia valances and they are no where near what i was hoping for when mounted to the car (im actually going to wind up selling them here soon)...ive tried a few different rear bumpers on my car from various companies and all the bumpers sit too low around the fender well to match up with the side skirts (OEM 180 kouki skirts sit quite a bit higher than aftermarket skirts)

and i know the S13 coupe community has been hardpressed to find a rear setup to match 180sx kouki aero...i was thinking about buying a set of 180sx kouki rear valances from Bings (given he makes em in fiberglass...which makes them VERY cheap compared to the 400 bux it costs for them brand new from nissan in cali) and cutting them up a bit to make them fit...friend of mine from japan did that to his coupe over there and it actually looked pretty damn good (the middle peice fits just fine...but the coupes rear bumper is about 6 inches too long)

so yah...anyone have ne suggestions (that dont include buy a whole body kit) with pictures for help???

pictures are always good

i know there is a company that makes valences, i believe the company name is bings. depending on when you sell the valences you have now, i want to buy. so dont sell them for like another and a half...wink wink

so what does this mean? does takakiara still have the stuff in stock, and we better buy quick?

OR

that they were doing special order only, and i'll never ever ever have my g-grow type-x replica front bumper. ever.

I remember a guy name 'psi240sx' or something, who had Kouki 180sx rear valences on with no modificatons. They came up short but, didn't look too bad. Can anyone find pics of his green coupe?

P.S.

I'm also looking for a 180sx to coupe, rear valence solution.

has anyone tried making the silvia rears fit on a fastback? I know they don't fit, but I really don't like the kouki/ chuki rears that much... and the silvia rears look a bit more subtle than the kouki/chuki fastback rears.
