clutch kick start? You mean roll it, put it in gear, and dump the clutch to start it? That would be a starter issue, or possibly IACV if it dies at idle sometimes... What happens when you try to start it? Does it crank at all? Obviously you're getting spark and fuel if you can roll-start it. Need more info.

Check your wiring to the started or grouds you may have left something a little loose where it is intemintintly making contact. I have seen starters bench test good but on a car be bad. Also check to see if you are getting goo starter to tooth to flywheel tooth contact if not then the starter just free spins or strips the teeth. Check the teeth on the starter to see and abnormal wear. Bad battery cables too if they are carroded into the wire themselves there will be too much resistance and not enough power will get to the starter.

I dont think its the battery because when i put it in reverse roll the car and dump the clutch the car starts.....

i asked this one shop and they told me i might have to "shimmy" the starter?

I didnt have this problem untill i did my clutch/flywheel ....grr

anybody had this issue before?

well more than likely its a lower wire harness problem since it worked fine before the clutch swap and that you have to remove the starter and all that crap. remove the wires from the heat shield and check them for shorts or broken wires.

but with that would it just not start at all?......the car starts when you clutch kick it like its fine.....

When you clutch kick start it your not using the starter or battery when the key is in the "On" position all sensors and systems are getting power except the Starter when you turn it to start then only the starter get power (the starter has its own seperate system)

clean the starter connections, unless you broke something taking out the starter, i don't see a huge problem. Everything worked before you took stuff out, therefore it SHOULD work putting it back on.
