just finish putting z32 26mm calipers with 00-01 maxima rotors. now ive searched and was told that these rotors will fit.
Problem: my front calipers are locked (cant spin the hub at all) like the brake pedal is all the way down. this is very frustrating cause it took me forever to get these calipers and come to find out they weren't the 30mm's that i wanted.
if anyone knows why the brakes are locked please inform me...

this is what mostlikely happened. you have the 26mm calipers and mated them with the 30mm rotors. once the rotors heat up, they expand and since there is no room they touch the pads and there you go- brakes are locked- measure the thickness of the rotors if they are not 26mm or less then replace them.

I'll second the probability that you've got 30mm rotors. I don't know what Max rotors are, but if they were 30mm you would experience exactly the problem you are. Go out and measure them and then you'll know for sure.

Wrong rotors. Should have just stuck with the z32 rotors.

Everyone's conclusion is probably right. i don't think i ever heard of anyone using maxima rotors but i'm not sure on that. but here is some info i have put together that will help you.
-26mm calipers were only produced on 300zx models that were non-turbo and manufactured prior to June 1990. They are pretty rare compared to the 30mm ones since they were only available for about 7-8 months.
-Brembo does not made 26mm rotors
here are the part #'s for some 26mm rotors
26mm rotors:
QUALITEE INTERNATIONAL Part# 64 76 620
RAYBESTOS Part# 96097
BECK/ARNLEY Part# 080-2145
BENDIX Part# 141759 (?)
these are for the 30mm rotors....YOU DO NOT WANT THESE
-Brembo front rotors for 30mm calipers are part#25417
Vented Disc ; From 7/1990 ; Overall Dia.: 280.0 ; Min Thick: 28.0Height: 53.7
Other 30mm rotors:
QUALITEE INTERNATIONAL Part# 64 76 630
RAYBESTOS Part# 96077
BECK/ARNLEY Part# 080-2386
BENDIX Part# 141536

Unfortunatley i do not have a pic for 26mm rotors avail. The ones i purchased came in a blank box........
One other thing u can do to confirm you have the wrong rotors is to look on the edge on the rotor, it should have engraved on it "min thinkness 28mm" if says that then they are the wrong ones.....the ones you need should say "min thinkness 24mm"

do they lock when you drive or just sitting there cold? if the calipers are loosely mounted do the rotors turn only to grab the rotor more and more as you tighten them down?

Buddy of mine had the same prob he got the 26mm calipier and was using 30mm Brembos I noticed when he tightened down the calipers it was causing the opposite side of the rotor to pull up and not move like you said "feels like the brakes pedal is all the way down"
So yeah those are probably not the 26 mm rotors.

fwd nissans have a different brake offset than the rwd systems. the rotors are probably the right thickness (if they say min 24mm on the rotor, they should be 26mm new) but one side might be pressed against the rotor.
just return the ones you got and get the right z32 rotors.

thats right. but then again, you wouldnt be bigballin for nothing now, would you?
i love when people fix up their cars to show how "baller" they are, then they are super concerned about shelling out money for cars. not saying this directly about you, but serious.. how much are a set of rotors? not much, if you ask me.
