So i have been seriously thinking about opening my own internet bussiness that deals in the production of parts for s-chassis cars ( planning on becoming a zilvia advertizer if this hypothetical becomes reality)
My question for all of you is, if i were to produce a tranny mount out of polyurethane similar to the peak performance mount and offered it at a price of about $30-45, would any of you be interested in it? this would not be a fly by night operation and would likely branch out to many other parts if this could turn out to be a success.
thanks for the responses in advance, Jim Burns, DBA Innovative engineering llc.

Do you seriously have the means to mass prodeuce this? Also how much are peak performances? People will usually go with what they know.

I have the means to mass produce this, yes.
The peak unit ranges between 65 and 85 dollars depending on the version (street or pro) and the online store it is being ordered from.
I would also be willing to donate around 5 of these to credible zilvians in exchange for honest review threads

If you had the means to produce them and make a good product at a good price I would buy from you. That would be a good idea to distribute some out to get your name out there and some reviews. When do you plan on doing this. I'd be interested to try them out, seeing as how I am doing my swap soon......:D.

The capability to make these is already present, the only thing that stands in the way of production is demand.
keep in mind, i know nothing of how peak's product was designed, but these would be designed in autocad by an engineer with over 25 years experience in the workforce.
Also, grade 8 or better hardware would be included in the $30-45 price.

I recommend keeping the bracket for the exhaust like the nismo mount. I bought nismo for that reason. Also I don't mind being your guinea pig if you want a review-er.

You can buy the peak mount for $50 at Touge Factory, for either....
And to be honest if you wanted to spend less most just fill stock with window weld so they can keep exhaust hanger...

If you build with with good quality and solid construction i'll rock them and write you a review. the main thing is making sure your material has good tesile strength and good heat dissipation.:)

+1. Keeping the exhaust hanger is a must for those people running SS bottom mount setups.
The idea of just filling the OE mount, although cheaper, isn't great since most OE mounts sag anyway from age, you're gaining stiffness but with an already reduced angle.

I can make my own mounts that will be easily as good as any mass produced mount for 8 dollars. That includes motor mounts too! Why not make a part that is in demand?....

+2 one thing that all the other aftermarket mounts don't have. ("My ebay manifold cracked after 2 months but his lasted 2yrs, why?")

I would be interested as well. If you really want to make some money, reverse engineer some of the 2jz and rb swap kits. Money to made from those.
