Ok, this is here for the NOOOOOOBS :D
BUY THE JUNE 2007 Sport Compact Car!

18 pages of S13 lore... that's mostly accurate LOL!

Here's my question for the experienced folks:
My car is pretty far from stock, much like most the other veterans (and a few new comers) here.
How many of you actually saw the parts you used in the buyer's guide?
I was elated to see that only about 2 things on my car were in there, for better or for worse... better as far I'm concerned LOL!

Opinions?
I haven't read it fully, just a quick once over to see if there was anything I didn't already know... I'm curious to see how many things are new, and how many we'd like to call BS on.... "a couple SR20's would pull a premium right before race wars..." (sound familiar? LOL!)

Bring it Vets :D

buyer's guide are either advertisers or stuff the staff gets for free or discounted prices on...

Forgive and correct me if i am wrong, but aren't buyer's guides just pages of parts and descriptions from the sponsers of the magazines? Do magazine really give a damn if the parts in the guide are top notch or pieces of junk?

They are there to make money and keep there doors open, like any other company.

A large majority of magazines are biased to the companies that pay them $$$, it is up to you to make the assumption about the products they advertise and recomend. I pesonally would refer someone to this site to get advise about modding there 240 before a magazine. This is because tons of people on here have modded there 240s, done it them selves and know what the mods to, and have tried differant setups. With the magazines, you don;t know if the person righting the stuff even has a 240 or knows anything about them. A good writer can make anything seem good.

ok let me rephrase since you guys clearly haven't seen the article yet.
When I said buyer's guide, it's not just a huge spattering of parts; it's How To Buy a S13.
What parts are probably needing replacement in an early 90's car, trouble spots, why people like them, current resale value, feature break down by year, common engine swaps and info on each etc.
True there's also the the manufacturer's part lists, but I find it hard to believe that they got paid to advertise for some of the vendors listed (not that i'm saying that didn't happen in some form, it's part of the biz)

Don't talk shit if you don't know of what shit u speak :P

The point was to ask the opinion of PEOPLE THAT ACTUALLY READ THE ARTICLE.

edit: I changed my mind. i WAS annoyed that people are talking based on assumptions (wrong ones at that),I guess that's just mildly annoying compared to the fact that YOU people who've posted so far make the assumption that I am the dumbshit, and don't know what I am talking about. Jesus, I've not been gone THAT long.

June!? We're still in April... lol, shopping guides are pretty useless but good for a once over at the bookstore.

Eh. It was really nothing of much value. You can get better guides here @ Zilvia.

Parts listing is all sponsors and bias.
