i have searched and havent found a clear answer yet.
i swapped an s13 blacktop into a 1992 fastback and now the car is toast. I got a new shell and is a 1990 sohc automatic. Do i need to modify any part of the wiring harness in the motor/car? i know i need to use a dohc guage cluster. my friend mentioned something about the body harness but im not too sure what it was. TIA guys

the only thing you're gonna have to do is, look at the dash plug that's behind the glove box and make sure it's still white or brown, if yours is white and the one on the car is brown then you just need to wire in the other plug, same colors apply. the other thing is you need to complete the circuit for the inhibitor switch, which is located on the passenger side, underneath the relay box a 2 pin grey plug, the wires i wanna say off memory one is brown and the other is white (there may be a stripe) but in any case, you can cut the old plug off the automatic engine harness and connect the two wires together on the other end, then plug it in to the plug that's under the relay box, or any other way of jumping the two together. you'll have to do that or the starter won't get the start signal from the ignition switch so the motor won't turn over. besides that and getting a clutch pedal/master/slave and the clutch lines, cutting the brake pedal (which is easier) or changing the auto brake pedal to a manual, you should be good to go. yes you need the dohc gauge cluster because the sr is dohc and you'll want your tach to work correctly. g/l =]
