so i'm trying to decide wether or not to run my water lines to my new turbo. yes i know that the factory setup uses them but i also know that a lot of people opt to not use them b/c it cases the engine to overheat more easily. also the other reason i'm seriously considering not using the lines is b/c i'm running an oil cooler meaning the oil may be able to cool the turbo just fine.
looking for opinions and experiences. also note that this has nothing to do with money as i have a set of taka lines right beside me.

If it matters, I run braided lines but have no thermostat.....of course, I made sure my motor was sufficiently cool way before I ever started upgrading the power, etc.

yea, i'd just invest in a few cooling mods, aka nismo thermo, a good electric fan setup, and run some water wetter, then just run those lines. it'll be better in the long run

well i already have the watter wetter and a koyo rad and a nismo thermostat so i guess it would be fine.

Be more specific, what kind of turbo are you running?
If it's a t25/t28 don't bother hooking up water lines. A lot of guys don't run water lines since running oil through them is generally enough. It's really not necessary....
