I just sat here and read the entire post, waiting, waiting, waiting. I get to the end and NOTHING. and Im thinking to myself WTF!?! why did he say in the title that something terrible happened to him. I was waiting to see your car wrecked or something. I scroll up and re-read the post topic... and to my astonisment it was supposed to be a good topic. So now Im relieved that Im not mental. Glad to see your car is alright, and sorry about your grandpa. Be carefull with those bald tires, they can be very very dangerous

I know other people will hate me for this, but I say ROCK ON! Sounds like you had a great time and you didn't cause any real trouble, so it was a 5-star night. Awesome. Wish I was there.

riiiiiight. hehehe. awesome. don't you just sit in traffic the whole time? or do you get the joy of driving through the chicago 'burbs. blah.

I work odd hours so I miss all the traffic. I go over 100 every night on 294. The cops are hardly ever out there.

Nice man! It's all sorts of crazy fun running with sportbikes. When I nearly killed myself on my bike, I was pretty bummed. It took me three months to fix it! That is a very long time to go without your bike when you see all of your friend riding every day. So to help make up for the loss, I would run with them in my S14. It's hard to keep up with them in the straights (ok...impossible), but when the corners came, I was all over them like white on rice. It fun because my car can out corner them in the tight twisties. (And we all know how to ride very well)

Enjoy...Just watch for the cops and becareful not to hurt anyone or yourself.

yeah, and that's not much faster than average chicago traffic did i tell you about day before the last meet? i was driving up there...had just gotten on 294. this big body benz on dubz rolls up behind me. we roll on it up to about 105-110. then this ghetto cruzer SUV with a busted out rear window comes from the on ramp ALL THE WAY TO THE FAR LEFT. that's my lane! i had to slam on the Z brakes. the benz had to swerve into a new lane not to rear end me. i shit my pants.

nah, it wasn't too bad. that was on my way TO the meet. so i just wiped my ass with a leaf at the park and then proceeded to shake many people's hands and eat mass quantities of fried chicken. durty durty.

BING BE CAREFULL!
I know how you feel though. I hang out with a bunch of sport bike riders(mostly ducks, triumps, and yamaha's) well that is before I just started working saturday mornings. ggrrrrrr
There mostly older but have a lot of riding experiance so its the coolest thing to watch them take the twisty at mock ten and handle it. They like my car so they put up with me plus I tell them That I will have a 748 one day and educate them all . 6 months I rolled up one saturday and they had a tiny(hot wheel style) yellow 748 at the end of row of bikes... They were like "jesse we all chipped in and got you a bike". I was so stoked? WOW sorrry for the rambling, I almost feel I need to drive up and see you bing just so I cruise your area... it sounds bad ass.
Sorry to hear about your grandfather... Been in those shoes and it sucks.
