I had my first opportunity to dyno my Nissan today! I'm excited, can you tell? :D

I was extremely pleased with the output of the SR, considering I've done very little to it. After some discussions with the dyno operator, we came up with a few ideas for improvements. First thing I need to do is to get some fuel out of it, hopefully just by reducing the base pressure on the boost coupled regulator... after that, I need a bigger turbo! Doesn't everybody say that? My boost is falling off right with the torque curve, poor little T25 just can't flow enough to feed a 7500 rpm 2-litre... After the first couple runs, I just started getting out of it at around 7k, no reason to keep pushing to redline.

Wanted to share, and invite criticism/comments! Keep in mind, this is an autocross car, fat low-mid torque is what I want out of it...

Oh, the setup: Internally stock redtop SR20DET, FMIC, Blitz BOV, Apexi cone intake; stock T25 turbo, TurboXS manual boost controller set to 13 psi, divided flow elbow, 3" straight through exhaust; Koyo rad, Altima e-fans, removed mech fan and lightened pulleys. Running 92 octane pump gas and Mobil1 15w50, 3rd gear pull...

cool.

id be pleased too if my engine made almost the exact power claimed by the manufacturer.

Umm... This was rated at 200 or 202 (I forget exactly) at the crank, right? It made 20 more than that to the wheels... so with only 10% losses that's 240 or so crank...

lol Koukimonster ~

That's a solid number for your stock setup, that's good. The fuel looks alright, is that on stock ECU with no AFC/etc? You could lean it out a tiny bit, but 11.5 is a solid AFR for full throttle on the boost.

The motor's ready for more air sir... :)

Thanx jordan

Yep, stock ecu and FPR, no AFC or other fuel control. My current thinking is to install the Nismo FPR and pull the base pressure back from the [email protected] to around 35, and see where I am.

I hear you on "more air", maybe in next years budget :naughtyd:
