I want to know how hard it is to install infinity 4x6 plates.  Or if i should go with these really nice sounding infinity 4x6's for $69.99??  Anyone have the plates in an s13? I can't seem to find the infinity speakers i want to buy on the internet.  They have a silver center with a blue outside cone.  help would be appreciated .... I might buy the $69.99 speakers tomorrow.

The infinity plates are pretty easy to install. &nbsp;<img src="http://www.zilvia.net/f/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/smile.gif" border="0" valign="absmiddle" alt=':)'> I love em!

Hehehe.. it's not the oval speaker. &nbsp;Think about a 6&quot; x 9&quot; it's an oval and some people try and get sub bass out of them (because they are retarded) &nbsp;I think it's the cone with about &nbsp;5 sq inches of cone space that is hurting the bass performance!!

Hahahaha.

Depends on where you want to put the plates. No place do they simply bolt in. In the back, it can be done with a wee bit of modification. Up front, it's not worth the time. Get some 5 1/4 or 6 1/2 speakeres on custom baffles, or just get 4x6s. The plate speakers don't line up right and require new baffles anyhow.

Is there anyone that actually makes new baffles or do you have to make them yourself? If the latter, how would one go about that?

Use cardboard to make the baffle layout, &nbsp;then make the real one out of 7 ply birch or whatever is availiable.

I don't know of anybody who makes baffles already ready for the 240sx. I used some 1/4&quot; plywood for my baffles (4 ply, iirc), which seems to work out OK. You need to pull out that entire plastic piece of crap (amp and all), measure out your new baffles, find out the proper wires, and play.

I put 6.5&quot; component woofers in my doors. &nbsp;I just removed all the plastic stuff and cut out a peice of 1/4&quot; lexan type stuff that fit the cutout in the metal on the door and then simply cut a hole in the middle for the speaker. &nbsp;I used weatherstripping to seal the edges. &nbsp;I would recomend wood if possible because it is easy to screw the speqakers to. &nbsp; But I did what I could with what I had laying around
