Question:
I am about to purchase a VLSD, just the center piece (no case).
Will this just bolt into my current differential? Or is there more to it?
Finally, what fluid(s) do I use?
TIA.

Well seeing as how all VLSD's out of every car are the same, of course it will. Oh wait that's a ridiculous answer based on the only info I got.
What is the VLSD out of? Model and year? What is it going into?
Installing it could prove tricky depending on how much of the internals you get. Can I ask why the unit is coming as internals rather than assembled? I would be worried that there is a reason it's not in a pumpkin (like its broken) or that it could be damaged in transit.
If it is a standard R200v, then when it is installed in the case it takes the same fluid as stock (MT90 IIRC). It is the sealed unit that would require a different fluid and I am not aware of the process for changing it. In anycase, buy extra fluid and do the transmission fluid at the same time (assuming manual). Same fluid and process, might as well do them together.

If it's an R200 VLSD, It will fit, but it should be installed by a transmission/differential specialist. The clearance between the ring and pinion gears has to be set exactly.
It also won't work without a set of VLSD output shafts.
In the end you'll spend a lot more than just buying a complete VLSD carrier.
