wow, an on-topic thread in the chat section !!!!!!!!!11

yeah i finally had my KYB's and tokico's installed. not to mention i also 'finally' found my front lower valance (thanx Ken) and had it put on as well.

no, i didnt do my own install, i had a few friends who are starting up a garage do everything for me. and from what i can tell so far they have done a great job. and get this, all the labour on all 4 corners, and the valance installed...$150 and it was done promptly between the hours of 6-10 pm.

i think this little garage may have a bright future.

i wont give a full review as of yet since i've had about a half hour total driving on them.

but i can say a few things right now...

the drop is very noticable and very sexy, it looks great even with the stock teardrop rims. the ride is bouncier but not rigid. in other words when i hit a bump i can definately feel it, but i can also feel the struts doing their job, and well.

with the valance my front end is now about 3+ inches lower than it was this morning. i have taken a few quick turns in and out of parking lots with no trouble. but once i bottom out once i'll slow down a bit.

once they settle in and drop a little more, i'll give a full review and post it up.

sounds fun. you'll love those AGX's.
you'll learn real quick which parking lots you will bottom out at

hey james, what color bulbs do you have behind your clear lenses.

when i ordered them they were on back order so i told them to forget it. plus i want to maintain a mean oldschool look with my lights at night. right now i got crazy yellow fogs with the stock lights. but i figure the clears would make my bumper a tad sexier during the day.

How much of a drop is there? I was under the assumption from others, as well as Tokico's website that their springs only offer a 1' drop (mild, compared to other aftermarket springs). I thought I would still retain some of my ground clearance for those pesky driveways and mean speed bumps in parking lots. I know you just installed them but if you had some before and after pics of the car (despite only a day or so to settle in) it would be great.

I'm glad someone has finally worked this combination for their suspension because I am going to do it myself (got the springs straight from Tokico but am waiting for some cash to buy the AGX now). Do you (or anyone else) happen to know if these are a linear or progressive spring? I hope you're enjoy your suspension!

dont have a digi cam...

but i can say i am impressed with the drop, it may only be an inch, but it looks alot lower, the wheel gap is significantly decreased. but whats most important is that after beign in a few lowered cars with expensive suspensions, coil overs and such, i find my car responding better to the drop with the tokico's. thus far i am highly recommending them.

my car doesnt look dumped, it just sits lower and my wheels maintain their clearance.

i would like to have pics soon, but i probably wont for sometime. i'll post when i can.

AGENT... my clearance is still pretty good, i was driving around alot last night and never bottomed out. this is surprising since i also added the valance and my N1 dual sit really low.

... i was told my strut bearings are gong to need replacing in the next few months. is there any aftermarket part that will more than compensate for these, i.e. anything from cusco or etc.
