I'm thinking about going KA-T on stock internals. For those of you with a KA-T on stock internals...
how much boost are you running?
has your car still been reliable?
are you happy with your power increase?
do you know how much HP it added at a certain amount of boost?
thanks guys, this will relaly h elp me.
also let me know anything else I should know.

I guess i won't be alot of help here, cuz i don't have ka-t yet, but i've done research on the topic, since i'm turboing my car spring 2003. but anyways...

Most people would run stock 7-8psi of boost with t3/t4 for dd. KA is safe until around 12psi (maybe more, but i'd recommend the rebuild). I cant really answer the reliabilty question, but i guess it's fine, cuz i haven't heard crazy stories yet.

Again, i can't answer that qestion. But for comparison. Last meet i drove a 13.6sec sr. At 4000rpm i was scared that thing is gonna fuckin fly. There also was a ka-t with 7psi of boost (that i didn't get to drive <img src="http://www.zilvia.net/f/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/confused.gif" border="0" valign="absmiddle" alt='???'>) that ran 13.9..... i dare to say it wouldbe scarier at 4000rpm (cuz ka is torquier, and at 4000rpm is closer to max for ka than for sr)

Hard to say. It depends on very many things. Intercooler, exhaust, turbo size, other stuff that may make u go faster/slower at the same psi of boost.
hope that helped

I have a 92 240sx KA24de turbocharged car for a while now. t3/t04e 50trim, .63 ar. --greddy type s Bov, deltagate, autometer z series gauges, Vortech fmu, fuel pump, braided lines, colder plugs, 24" intercooler, piping....
you dont wan to boost more than 7 psi on stock internals unless you have 370cc injectors and a SAFC or JWT ecu.
im running 6.5 psi. runs good. stock naturally aspirated 240sx's suck shit after driving my turbo 240 for the first time. i will never go back to stock motor. dont know the horsepower increase, its prolly about 215 right now, after i put the straight cat, change to electric fan and other small shit, it'll be around a good 265.
naturally aspirated is wack. im on my 2nd 240sx, and wish i did this way back then. its the bomb, you'll all love it. dont waste your money on all this stupid little shit like rims, foot pedals, steering wheel, system, lights garbage. TUrbo your 240sx and rock the street. IT will make you feel much better on the road----POWERful. my wastegate is run open so it makes a REALLY wicked sound when i hit boost. when i make that sound next to other cars, even corvettes and and supras,--- They have a wierd - surprised look on their faces, and dont flex back. ALL aBOUT TURBO

thanks a lot guys for all your help.
Has anyone ever heard of any technical problems after someone put a turbokit on? Check engine lights, AC not working, etc...anyone?

The AC has noting to do with the turbo sysetm there is no reason that it should be afected. Mine still blows nice and cold.
