Anyone know where I can find these gloves besides japanparts.com, cause the gloves are 7 dollars and they want 17 to ship them...

those dont look like work gloves to me! the material looks like cotton or something in that nature. for that get some damn mechanics gloves? whats the big deal with a "nismo work glove"?
either mechanics gloves or just buy rubber gloves when working on your car. trust me most mech' s dont even wear gloves unless they're taking a hot ass pipe or rotor off. and most of the time thats what rags are for.

Yeah, whenever I have wanted work gloves I would have ruined them. I used rubbers for my fiberglass repair on my rust holes in my spoiler, worked great. I will probably use them for a while, seeing as how i can' really clean my hand with the stiches in it.

EDIT: sensitive material removed...

hmm i didnt read this prior to you editing it but if it was something related to me replying to your stupid racist remark than please dont edit it i would love to see what you wrote.
and as for wearing rubber gloves when working fiber glass ive done it only when i make the mold thats it. as for getting stitches maybe your a lot slower than i think.
wanna know why i suggested rubber gloves? cause maybe i worked at nissan for over a year so i know what im talking about when i reply.
so please by all means un edit your remark and put it back in. <img src="http://www.zilvia.net/f/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/sly.gif" border="0" valign="absmiddle" alt=':sly:'>

Yeah, I can't agree with this more....
Camppain and I have both worked as Nissan Techs. NO ONE WEARS THESE. There is a very good reason (which you'll find if you actually buy them). The only time I EVER use cloth gloves (and I'm the only one I know who does) is when I'm working on an exhaust system or on rotating wheels... and then only when I'm working without any time pressures (read: working lazily on my own car). I have several pairs of Mechanix gloves... http://www.mechanix.com/ They look great sitting in a draw in my box.
If you really want to keep your hands clean, buy a box of disposable surgical gloves... or, if you're want a little more heat protection and are willing to wash them, heck... buy a set of kitchen dish washing gloves. They work great! Really... I'm not joking, the only down side is you have to clean them up when your done and they look stupid on you. But they do their function extreemly well and offer more protection and grip than the disposable gloves.
Most mechanics I know don't wear gloves at all (disposable or cloth).
However, if you're hell bent on getting those Nismo gloves... go down to your local homedepot. You'll find those exact same gloves (minus the 2 cent Nismo logo of course) in the landscaping department. I have a pair for doing yard work.
It is possible that those Nismo gloves are made of nomex material, which is excellent for working on cars. I personally always have a pair of gloves on. I have heavy leather gloves for dirty and heavy type work, nomex for hot stuff and mechanix for general wrenching. I have always found surgical gloves to be a pain cause they tend to break on the finger tips (they are better for internal motor work where stuff has to been very clean)
My hands aren't permanently dirty, fingernails aren’t black and I never bust a knuckle while wrenching. I love working on cars but don't like getting covered in grease and dirt. I like Mechanix Wear except for their cost; the newer ones do last a bit longer than the originals did.

I guess they could be, but for $7 with Nismo stamped on them I kinda doubt it.
The only problem I have with surgical gloves is they don't allow your hands to breath... so your hands get very sweaty, especally in the cheap ones. The cheap ones will break but the expensive ones hardly ever do and are reuseable a few times. You can buy the cheap ones at most auto stores and even sometimes find the good/expensive ones. The expensive ones are always carried by the tools trucks and usually by the larger tool outlet stores.

Camppain- I don't see why more replies like yours were not sent to me by more people on this board in PM, as my post was way out of line. I can assure you that what I said, and than edited out, was not directed to you in any sence, and although not racist, was way off topic, and inapproprite (not to mention immature). I will have to give future posts more thought, and think about who might be offended when I type things. I would like to appologize to you, camppain, and anyon else I may have offended.
Joey
EDIT: Camppain- if you say I am slow, and aren't even aware of the incident in which I was involved in that resulted in the cut in my finger, than I think you should rethink your plan of verbal attack. That or do more research.
